Changing up The Cat Box
Well Hello everyone!
Just thought I would share with everyone, the changes I am making in my WoW world.
It’s been almost a month now, that The Cat Box has been alive
We are up to over 70 members and are still growing.
I recently incorporated some changes to the guild plan and layout, and I think that it is for the best.
No offense to my guildmates, running a levelling guild is fun, and seeing all the lower level peeps move up the levels in WoW is exciting! I think though, that it’s time for Cat, the Guild Mom, to become Cat- the Guild Master. I think I should explain a bit.
Over the past two weeks, I have had a couple of my level 80′s in the guild leave. Why? Because we weren’t RAIDing enough and trying to get into the more complex instances. It’s kind of hard to do that, when you don’t have enough people in the guild that can run. It’s also kind of tricky to just pull people into the guild that you don’t know anything about, and hope that they can run with the best of your guildies. Sure, you can RAID and PuG it, but why when you can develop and integrate a great RAIDing group from your own guild, and those trusted people you know from other guilds. After the ‘slap in the face’ of the fact that I was pretty much keeping the role of ‘Mom’ and I mean this lovingly, and not a Raider…well, it got me to thinking.
I have great players in my guild, they range from lower levels up to the 80′s in the guild. I have watched a lot of these people grow over the past several months, several of them came over from unbreakable, and I know that they want to move onward and upward as well. All of this played into my plans for changing up The Cat Box.
What are these changes, you may ask?
Well, I am only taking applications for entrance into the guild unless someone I run with in a heroic or dungeons asks to join. I have changed the ranks of the guild to reflect the new RAIDing aspect. I have introduced a RAID leader as well. He is in charge of putting the RAIDs together and making sure he knows the fights and can explain them to the RAIDers. I am looking into eventually implementing a DKP point system
I am in no way removing any lower levels from my guild. They are here to level until they are ready to RAID.
I am ready to RAID! I want to move into the end of content RAIDs and Instances, that is why I am playing the game..right? To get to where I can run and play with those people that I have grown to know over the past year. I think that we are on our way here in The Cat Box, we ran a full clear of Naxx 10 on Saturday night, it was awesome, and out of all 4 quearters, we only had 4 wipes I believe
Kudos out to my Raid Leader and his awesome job!
I hope that we can get to the point to where people will know the name “The Cat Box”, not jsut because of the name, but because of the people behind the name
I will keep you up to date on the lastest information on The Cat Box.
Stay Tuned!!
