There I was walking back from SteelGrills Depot, I had just purchased all seven of the mechanostriders, and was on my way back to Ironforge, debating what to do next. I had already completed my dailies, and wasn’t really in the mood to quest. I was in a party with another friend of mine, and we were discussing what we were going to get ourselves into.

That’s when the strangest thing in my WoW life occurred. I got a whisper from someone….and all it said was..

“I love you!”

My first thought is…what in the world…Do I know this person? So, I replied back…

“Umm and you are??” To which I received…

“In Love”

I was like…that line would almost work in a club setting….Then I replied again… “Okay…and you are?”

I think I offended him at that point…he replied that he was just saying he loved me…I was scared that I had hurt his feelings.

“I love you back…” I said hastily..what else are you gonna do?

I happened upon him outside the gates of Ironforge then. He was a level 80 Human mage, and his name was Madphyrez…

He then did something so shocking, I almost fell off my bear mount…He asked me to marry him…I immediately said no…then he started sweet talking me. I told him maybe…if he could come up with a ring…LOL

Oh what a tangled web we weave…when we think that we can talk our way out of marriage…LOL

At that…we parted ways, I took a flight path to Stormwind, the other member of my party was going to show me a neat little trick of how to get underneath Stormwind….

As I flew along, Mad asked me where I was going…I told him to Stormwind…He said…I’ll meet you there…and sure enough as I stepped out of the flight path landing…and walked down the ramp…there he was…pimp hat and all..LOL He then showered me in a beam of light and proposed again..with a ring!! I was thinking to myself this is absolutely crazy!!! My friend rode up then…and saved me from this madness…I was soo confused…I told Mad that I was off to check out what was underneath Stormwind…he offered to show me the rest of WoW’s hidden secrets…I conversed with my friend, and then with Mad…Hmmm…would he do it for me? Would he think I was the crazy one?

I asked him…can we reenact the proposal…so I can get some screen shots? I know it sounded selfish…but it’s just a game…right?

Well he agreed, and I called in a couple of my guildmates. Changed into a smashing Red Dress and was even bought a pair of matching sandals by my friend. Roxxie and Astroid joined us in Stormwind, and we all journeyed out to Booty Bay…to take our trek to ‘Makeout Point’ in Stranglethorn Vale. The view was splendid…

he placed me into a beam of light…showered me with rose petals…got down on one knee and proposed again.

With Roxxie and Astroid watching along with Dragonsys, I accepted his proposal and we blew kisses at each other. It was sooo sweet.
He then, prepared a romantic picnic for us. We ate, and smiled shyly, and blew kisses at each other…he turned the rest of the group into little bunnies, I felt like Cinderella…..

We finished up our wonderful picnic, and said good bye to Roxxie, and then he took the rest of us on a behind the scenes tour of Stranglethorn Vale. We went to the top of Booty Bay, and saw a beautiful waterfall there, and looked down at the bay, it was an amazing view.
Then we wound our way through the jungle to Zul’Gurub, and we went in through a slightly different route, and bypassed the instance altogether..it was empty, and beautiful! We lost Dragonsys along the way, and Astroid left us as well. It was just him and I, alone…what now? I thought to myself…. He was a complete gentleman and very gracious, he showed me where all the bosses would be, if they were there. He showed me some beautiful waterfalls, and mountains. He even lead me into the temple of the panther…where it seemed like at times you were underneath it.

I have to say, that this was truly a strange and amazing journey in my WoW life. He sure did wow me I have gained a wonderful friend, and maybe a raiding buddy I had a totally awesome experience with a complete and total stranger. I have a nice ‘engagement ring’ too

So, this goes to show, that if you ever get to a point that you just get kinda bored in the game, and wanna spice things up…just randomly whisper to someone…who knows what may happen…you may end up seeing things you have never seen before..making a friend you wouldn’t have before…and just learning a little about yourself…
